Far less developed than the western coastline and hosting far fewer international visitors, Fujairah is the UAE's in-the-know resort destination.
The Emirate of Fujairah covers much of the UAE's eastern coastline and has two main resort beach areas, both with only a handful of resorts.
This is a great option both for visitors who want to head away from the crowds and also for keen divers, as the best diving in the UAE is off the eastern coast.
The long stretch of Al Aqah Beach is the most developed resort area, while to the north, Dibba Al Fujairah, rubbing up against the Omani exclave of the Musandam Peninsula, is also home to a few resorts.
There is also one option each in Fujairah city itself and in the port town of Khorfakkan.
Plan your stay with our list of the best resorts in Fujairah.

Designed in an elegant contemporary style, in a soothing palette of soft-toned textiles, the spacious 190 rooms and suites all come with large balconies either overlooking the gardens of mature palms and wild grasses or the seafront.
The resort's ambience of casual luxury makes this Fujairah's top choice for a romantic getaway, but families aren't left out here either.
